Just got back from picking up the drum kit from The Dolls House in Abertillery. Time to reflect on the weekends event. Not been the easiest event this one, with so many band's having to pull out through ill health. We are always thankful to the band's who step in at the last minute to save the day and we wish everyone that couldn't make it a speedy recovery. With it being a bank holiday with glorious weather in wales (for a change), it was always going to be a tough choice for folk weather to go to the beach or go and catch some live music indoors. We thank everyone that chose to come and support the Dementia South Wales event. All the band's that travelled from all over the UK to Abertillery played a blinder fair play. Every band played their hearts out, and we can't thank them enough for their continued support of The Rock'n'Roll Circus Events. To all you lovely folk that came along this weekend a massive thank you from myself and Paul.
Respect to Craigy & The Dolls House Wales staff, who were amazing all weekend , Andrew Rogers, Carl Southcott for allowing us to put on our events at their quality venue. Blain Hunter for doing an outstanding job on the sound desk. Thanks again to Mr Badaxe Chris Heath for travelling down from Nottingham to compere for us on Saturday & entertain the masses out on the patio. Cheers to Zoe Cairns and Scot who stepped in on Saturday to help us out. Gutted for the lads from A JOKER'S RAGE who got stuck on the motorway about two hours from the venue and had to be towed home.
We were short on numbers this year compared to last years event, but we still managed to raise £650.00 to go to Dementia UK.
