Derby four-piece These Wicked Rivers release their long awaited debut album 'Eden' this Friday May 22nd.
Check out the new single "Floyd".
Established in 2014, the quartet have made quite an impact since their inception with their brand of blues-infused modern rock steadily picking up plaudits for their gutsy live performances across the UK, as well as releasing two EPs ’The Enemy’ and ‘II’ which landed the band their first wave of critical acclaim.
Upcoming debut album ‘Eden’ has already started to turn heads with new single Floyd earning the coveted title of “Classic Rock Magazine Track of the Week”. The album itself is chock-full of strong songs, executed with flawless musicianship. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Black Stone Cherry and Clutch, the band have created twelve tracks which organically and seamlessly co-exist and interact, producing a cohesive record.
Drummer, Dan Southall says: “With this album, we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved. We feel we’ve made an album that encapsulates everything we have done before and shows what we want to be in the future. We can’t wait to take it on the road when circumstances allow.”
To celebrate the album release the band was set to embark on a full UK tour this summer alongside British rockers Ryders Creed. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the band will be postponing the tour. Some of the dates have already been rescheduled and are listed below, including the highly anticipated launch party, which will now take place on 25th September. Further dates are in the process of being confirmed and will be announced soon.
Dan adds: “We’re so excited to finally be getting “Eden” out there and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the response to our pre-order campaign. Not even a worldwide pandemic has stopped our fans supporting us. We launched a “Stay at Home” tea-making bundle as something fun to look forward to during lockdown and they are absolutely flying out. The orders just keep coming. The support for this album has been unbelievable and we can’t thank everyone enough. Incredible.”
