They have always had bags of punch and seemingly limitless energy in their music and performance, so, I was pretty surprised when they raised the bar which was at a level, I would suggest, was professional even further!
Not what I was expecting, which I say with no disrespect to the guys, I was expecting more of what you got from Fahran. This however, is quite an outstanding piece of work!
Kudos to Jake on recording and the guys on production!. Riffs to die for from Chris and Jake, with a sound I think Tremonti would envy, some awesome work from Joshua and Josh, and a new angrier sound from Matt, whose range seems endless!
There clearly has been some bonding between these fellas over the course of time and it really shows in this tune.
Great riffy verses, powerhouse instant hooky chorus, massive middle eight.
What I really do appreciate about this tune is that as good players as these guys are, they really don't over complicate things when they don't need to be, allowing the song to groove as well as having some interesting guitar passages. Lyrically appealing too about frustration of manipulation by the powers that be and standing up to the world and making a point.
I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they have landed a support with Alterbridge or the like and am very much looking forward to hearing the album. These guys are ticking the right boxes and the new direction is appealing to say the least, so, to sum up...
Like an ice cold pint on a scorching day after a salty meal...refreshing to say the least.
